Inspired by the graceful "manta rays" of the ocean, our designers created this metal-based mechanical manta ray. This mechanical manta ray consists of over 200 parts that you need to assemble yourself. Besides the fun of assembly, you'll get a model that simulates the manta ray swimming in water. Just connect the power and press the button to see it soar. The built-in LED lights make it look almost alive. Additionally, you can adjust the wing flapping speed and light brightness with buttons.

Excellent kit. Enjoyable to build and a lovely piece of art. One small problem is that you can’t fully tighten some bolts as it would create too much friction for the movement… and so some bolts may work loose and fall out with use. However this isa minor concern.

Went together very well, and pretty quickly. I had a lot of fun seeing how it all worked. The instructions were good and it came with all the tools.
Its a tiny bit noisy when its operating, you kinda want to be able to hear the gears a little but you wouldn't want it to be running all the time - as much as i kinda DO want it running all the time - but its not too bad.
It was expensive but really worth it.

Saw it on line. Loved it so decided to order. Yes it's not a low cost item and for good reason. Packaging and shipping are too notch. The beautiful made box has an executive finish. Inside the box beautiful laid out puzzle in cut out foam with layer after layer of anticipation. The finish is excellent all the gears and parts are very well made and metal. Shockingly difficult to engrave because the paint is thick and quality. I can't wait to surprise my wife with it for our anniversary! Definitely a must splurge item for your ocean loving special someone.

I have the Natilus that I built and the Manta Ray is harder to build than the Natulis! The gears don't have matching points to make sure they are lined up to be able to run the motor. I know they say build the motor first, but I had more trouble doing that with the Natulis so I started from scratch first part first, but then I started going too fast and missed parts to screw down and wound up getting the motor seized up and then had to take it all apart and start again but now the motor runs great.
The gears are not not as well marked on the instructions so I got one gear turned in the wrong position don't forget the washers!!! They are very valuable for the ease of movement of the gears and the rest of the parts. After that it went together very well great job ROK I will be looking for other great models in the future!!!
