Joey Time Post Office DIY kit brings together the charm of a Victorian post office and the motion of a mechanical time scene. Behind its red-brick clock tower and pointed rooflines, a layered miniature world unfolds with arched windows, vintage railings, a post office counter, a giant pendulum clock, interlocking gears, a phone booth, parcel boxes, and a tiny steam train.
The scene feels like a place where letters travel through time. A cycling postman waits along the mail route, unsent letters sit beside the rotating mail cabinet, and every small detail adds to the story of a busy old-world post office. When activated by the touch sensor, the finished model can switch between lighting, rotation, and music modes, bringing the gears, clockwork elements, and postal scene to life.
Piece by piece, the build turns flat wooden sheets into a miniature post office with its own rhythm and personality. The 742-piece assembly gives experienced builders plenty to focus on, from the layered structure to the moving mechanical details. I order new 3d puzzles when I see really interesting/new or challenging ones. Having said I will not be doing these puzzles until a later date as I have a few others to do in the meantime. The delivery was excellent & quick & by looking at the boxes they seem very colorful and well put together. Thank you & will post them later after completion. Satisfied customer from Canada.
I haven't finished it yet, but close. Glue and knife were missing from kit. I tried getting the right side gears to turn and did several times but once I put most of it together, they quit. Some parts are very fragile. Some don't fit good or stay. I've had to sand pieces and wax more than the instructions said. And have had to use a fair amount of wood glue to keep parts in place. Very impressed with the amount of detail. It'll display nicely without the gears turning, just with lights.
I am having issues with part 1- 5 (pg 8) to turn freely. When i add the tower part it stops turning - jams. Looks like part 4 cogs are not long enough as they dont touch properly. I have tried re-assembling waxing but still not freely turning. The tower part works really well, as soon as i connect it, the cogs stop turning.
I am really looking forward to seeing the finished product hopefully with all cogs working.
So far I’ve just started this one. The wood sheets have an awful burn on “C” plate. I can’t read the numbers. Honestly, I’ve never had a kit with such poor instructions. It’s sitting on my table. Not even sure if I’ll finish it. I was expecting much better
The fit on most parts is too tight, very difficult to press together. Had to eliminate one section of gears because they would not run freely. Sorry I paid the money for this one.
