Easy to put together. Have not got the gear to work due to motor not having enough torque to drive the gears.
I have sanded and waxed and all the gear turn easily by hand but the motor is not capable to turn the 13 gears.
Also the motor switch method is a hit or miss method. A toggle on the back would be better.
Looks good and clock works fine.
I finished the build and motor did not want to work. Thanks to Wewowood they helped me trouble shoot the problem and it was resolved. It is on the wall!
It's such a funky clock, and came together really quite quickly as the pieces are large for the most part. Just make sure you wax the cogs well, I rubbed them with the wax and then used a hair dryer to melt it down into the cogs and repeated. Love watching it in action! 🤩🥳
We so love it. Everyone who visits us, we show them the clock and they have all been impressed. It was an excellent choice, not only to build it together but also to see it on our wall and to show off....😅🤣

I have finished putting the clock together and it was so much fun doing so and now it is proudly hanging on my wall and it looks amazing. Even our cat Murphy loves watching it.
I assembled this wooden puzzle with my child, which not only strengthened our bond but also developed his hands-on skills. I highly recommend it for family activities!
It's a well-conceived item. Straightforward to build -- for the most part. The holes that are used to connect the front parts to the back do not line up, making some alteration in them necessary. This was not a simple process and caused the reflective layer to warp a bit, rather than lie flat. Attaching the drive mechanism for the pendulum required some considerable effort -- perhaps an illustration or two showing the best way to do this would be helpful. I built two clocks, they both had these problems. Still, a nice looking build, overall.
Hello, While I did enjoy the kit, I am a bit disappointed in the customer service. I placed an order (#24011), but I discovered that my wife also wanted the other marble run. I sent an email asking to cancel the first order, so I could place an order for all three at once. I was told not to worry and order the third and you would credit me accordingly. I ordered the second marble run (3 kits total) #24119. As yet there has been no adjustment. I regret not canceling and starting over, I have the complete email discussion if you need it> Thank you. I ordered this as a gift for my husband and 11 year old son. They did it together and enjoyed it. They said it went together pretty well, except that one screw wasn't the right length, but they were able to make it work.
The final result is cool. We don't keep it running all the time, even though it looks great. It's nice to have that option to turn it off since it makes noise. (It still keeps the time.) I was disappointed, however, in the shipping time. It took 21 days from when I ordered it until we received it. Very slow.
It's the fourth wooden clock kit I've built and was the most unique and closest I've come to success. They all have a hurdle of friction. The small motor just isn't able to overcome the resistance of all the gears and move the pendulum. My solution was to disconnect the pendulum and two gears to have 90% of the gears whirl happily. Thankfully the clock is independent with a single AA battery mechanism. I had some fun staining the gears different shades. (On my first clock I slipped an electric clock motor into the wood face.)
If I do a fifth clock, I'll try to sand all moving parts down to a 220 grit sand paper and try a different wax application.
Overall pretty good! Birthday present from my bf. We did it together, lot of fun. One screw mistake on the instructions but we made it work. The batterie case for the clock was broken and unusable, we had to order one from Amazon. Made it work and looks pretty good!
My husband loved it. He got to work on it as soon as it arrived and now the clock takes pride of place on the kitchen wall. Also shout out for the small but very much loved gift with it. Really appreciate it.
Everything works except the motor. The gears won't move. Once the motor worked until the gears got set, then it quit. Batteries are brand new. The gears move free hand. No motor. Otherwise nice piece of work but if I can't get the motor to run, I only have half a clock!
